U.S. paratroopers perform static-line jumps from U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemasters. The purpose is to increase Air Force and Army efficiency, to test and evaluate abilities to mobilize and launch a large-scale aircraft formation in addition to train, process and deploy Airmen and cargo in response to a simulated crisis abroad.
