Tomogunchi are Call of Duty’s bloodthirsty Tamagotchi pets. Here’s how you get them, how to understand their emotional states, how to see them in-game, how to keep them happy, and how to hatch more. Modern Warfare is out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

In a surprising and unexpected development, Infinity Ward added Tamagotchi-style virtual pets to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Yes, really. In Modern Warfare, they’re called Tomogunchi pets, and you can equip them to your watch to see their cute smiling faces while you murder enemies.

But how does it all work? GameSpot’s Aaron Sampson breaks it all down in a video video.
