Bureau of Prisons employees complain they are being given Chinese-manufactured face masks to protect themselves against COVID, which are of dubious quality and that the FDA has not approved. The face masks are already in use in several correctional institutes in the Southeast, where workers worry they are in danger of getting sick because the outbreaks are not being handled with care. VICE News traced the masks to a distributor in Phoenix, who told us he knows almost nothing about them but was more than happy to pass them on from China to the U.S. government.
