Social activist, public speaker, and writer Kwame Rose is among those who helped soothe the protest violence in Baltimore in the wake of Freddie Gray’s death. He went viral in 2015 after confronting Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera. His viral fame led to him becoming a figure advocating for social change in the city and now runs the distribution for World Central Kitchen’s Baltimore region, which is a nonprofit that works with local restaurants to help feed vulnerable communities.
